PepsiCo is a US food and drink company with brands such as Lay's, Doritos, Cheetos, Quaker, Tropicana, Gatorade and Pepsi, sold in more than 200 countries. It grows and buys large amounts of potatoes, corn, oats and other crops for its products. It runs its own breeding programmes for potatoes and oats, developing crop varieties that suit its products, such as potatoes that fry well into chips and store well after harvest. It also works with farmers on sustainable farming practices, and makes beverages through a large global network of bottling partners.
