Company overview

Alphabet is the parent company of Google, YouTube, the Android operating system and Google Cloud. Most of its revenue comes from online advertising. Its AI lab, Google DeepMind, built AlphaFold, which predicts the 3D shape of proteins from their genetic sequences and has mapped over 200 million protein structures, covering almost every known protein in nature. Its sister company Isomorphic Labs uses this work to design new medicines with drug makers. Google Cloud offers tools that analyse DNA sequencing data. Alphabet also owns Waymo, which runs self-driving taxis, and Verily, which works on health data and research.
